Adam's Canyon Hike.

"No pain No gain" after crying whole summer because I moved to one of the beautiful place on west side & not able to go for single Hike in the mountain. Instead I was spending lot of time doing my physiotherapy exercise for my broken Ankle, reading the books instead of going to grant canyon & other places around, walking on the crutches instead of enjoying beaches, watching the movies at home instead of sky diving ...I did missed all the summer activities.
I was waiting for green signal from my physiotherapist to go on Hike...I was bit jealous while watching the pictures of my trekking group back in India

Fall color trip 2008 which I decided to skip

Finally I decided to skip the Fall color trip organized by my friends in SLC & decided to go for hike. I was very excited for this Hike. Almost after 1 year :)

Day was perfect, weather was perfect, location was perfect, Hike was not that hard.. I was little worried because of my ankle. We started around 1 pm. it was 5 miles hike both way at Adam's canyon.
It was really a fun hike..This hike reminded me about my Lohagad hike in Mumbai which I went with Dinesh & pradeep back in India.

I was having all the required things for the hike. Me & Kate went to the grocery store to buy some fruits in case we need some energy :) while shopping at grocery store Kate told me some very interesting stories when we were passing by a "weight loss section" in the store :) ..we picked up some fruits, Carrots, tomato, sports bars.

Scott was leading the hike...Scott knows every thing about this trail. He was telling all of us the stories of his old hikes, new bike group, his family matter & all ..he was showing all off the good spot for the pictures & sharing the mountain stories & future hikes.

We were moving slowly towards the destination enjoying the nice fall color around. thought out the hike there was a waterfall which was one of the best thing I liked about this hike. Trail was pretty clean but at some places there was some trash which Kate was collecting in her trash bag .. :)

when we reached at the middle of the mountain the view of the Layton & lake was awesome. You can see the lake touching the sky.

when we reached the destination there was beautiful water fall. we took some rest enjoyed the waterfall. After 2 hours of hike this "Walking talking Philly chick" was
keeps every one entertained with her non-stop interesting stories about her hospital, Politics,Yoga etc.. from where she got so much of energy ?

Daine & Andrea was busy enjoying views from different angle taking pictures & they got some interesting game called as Geotech ( not sure about the name ) it was something like treasure hunt. I need to find out more on this.

After a wonderfull 4 hours hike we decided to go to McCool for dinner. I was real hungry :) I wanted some enrgy for Garba..
After the hike I directly went to the Garba aound 8.00 pm where Sheetal & Snehanshu were coming all the way from San-Jose. Everyone was in traditional wear for Garba except me :( .. I did Garba till 10.30 in the night & My ankle was not at all bothering me..

Garba was really awesome .. the live band which came from Baroda they played all old songs like Khai ke pan banaras wal & Bhangra :)

It was real nice weekend .. I enjoyed..

I already have my next weekend planed .. for Boweling , Hunted House, Halloween Party & Another hike to big cottonwood canyon.

Back in action - Power of Yoga.

How my lifestyle is changing ? to answer this question I decided to recollect how was my typical day before 5-10-15 yrs ? It's changing a lot ..

When I talk to my Mom & Dad first question they always ask me is r u doing Yoga & Pranayam regularly ? I tell them No, I am doing swimming & Other exercise. Dad always encourages( In fact sometimes forces) me to do it regularly.

When I was growing up in Latur I use to go to "Arya Samaz" for doing Yoga & Pranayam. That reminds me all the fun me & my friends had there.. How can I forget those prices which I won in Yoga.

Finally I have decided to start doing Yoga again. I started attending different Yoga classes in SLC . I found that I was sweating in the class(I never use to sweat while doing Yoga) & It was real fast. It was more of a stretch than Yoga. After doing some research I found that now there are different type of Yoga's ( Don't ask me how many types are there :) )

More to come ....next week :)
